Immunizations and Medical Services

In accordance to the Ohio Department of Health, the Belmont County Health Department’s goal is to reduce and eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases among Belmont County’s children, adolescents and adults.

What We Do

  • Administer the Vaccines for Children Program
    • The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC) is a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. The CDC buys vaccines at a discount and distributes them to grantees which in turn distribute them at no charge to clinics registered as VFC providers.
  • Work with health care providers to prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases and improve immunization rates.
